FAQ
Do I have to purchase a property?
Our residents do not purchase a property at Clare Park, but instead make a loan that is fully refunded on departure. They then pay a monthly charge, which is fully inclusive with no hidden extras.
We recommend that all prospective residents consult with their financial advisor in order to assess the feasibility of living at Clare Park.
Can I stay at Clare Park if I need care in the future?
Clare Park is designed for people who wish to enjoy an independent lifestyle in a safe and supportive community. Many residents choose to move here while they are active and independent.
If your needs change over time, it is often possible to arrange support from visiting carers in your own home, helping you maintain your independence for longer.
However, Clare Park is not a care home and does not provide specialist nursing care or dementia care on site.
Can I bring my car?
Yes, we welcome cars at Clare Park. Although a regular residents minibus is available, some residents do enjoy the independence that their own car brings. We have a limited number of private garages available for our residence. There are car parks at the front and rear of the main house.
Can I bring a pet?
Residents may bring their dog or cat with them if they are living in a cottage. Regrettably these cannot be replaced.
Is it easy to call a taxi when I want to go out?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own furniture and personal possessions to help make your new home feel familiar and comfortable.
Can I invite friends and family for a meal and stay the night?
Meals for guests can be arranged through reception in advance. We also have guest rooms where bed & breakfast can be booked.
Is Wi-Fi available at Clare Park?
You can access Wi-Fi from all areas of the main house.
Can I bring my own furniture?
Yes. All accommodation is let unfurnished, with up to three months available for you to plan your move. This gives you time to choose your own carpets and curtains, bring your own pieces of furniture, and to make sure everything is just as you want it.
